How Employable are University Graduates?

Emerging Employability University Ranking.

I didn’t see this discussed much in the Irish media. Ranking season still rolls on and here is another. Its funny that this wasn’t discussed, as its about the very thing that seems to go to the heart of what we might laughingly call ‘the debate’ on third level.

Its a survey of recruiters (2700 of them) from a number of countries (see below) who were asked first to profile their ideal university from the perspective of employability. In the second phase 2300 CEO’s ranked the universities suggested.

TCD is the only Irish university to appear, ranked 103, up from 111 in 2012. This is ahead of places such as Erasmus Rotterdam, U. HongKong, and just behind Science Po and U. Helsinki.
